Foreign Affairs Minister Professor G. L. Peiris says that a situation favorable to the country was emanating from Sri Lanka’s foreign policy paying special attention on African countries.

 

The Foreign Affairs Minister said that this was further corroborated at the discussion held with the Ugandan President yesterday.

President Mahinda Rajapaksa who is currently on a four day official visit  to Uganda  held  bilateral discussions with  Ugandan President Yoveri Musaveni yesterday.

 

That was at the Ugandan Presidential Residence.

 

Attention was drawn on cotton and readymade garment industry.

 

The Ugandan President who drew his attention on the success Sri Lanka had achieved in ready made garment sector had requested the President to assist in improving Uganda’s clothing industry.
