2 parades in Colombo by government supporters and the opposition.

The People’s Movement against Increased Electricity Tariff will hold a protest march demanding the government to cancel the decision this afternoon.


The protest march will begin at Campbell Park and parade to the Fort Railway Station.


Meanwhile another march in support of the government will start from the Lake House Roundabout and will parade along Olcott Mawatha to Maradana.


Before the marches are started, the organizers of the two factions talked to our news team.


Convener of the People’s Movement Against Increased Electricity Tariff Saman Ratnapriya and General Secretary of the Central Board of Lanka Labourers’ Associations Somaweera Chandrasiri had this to say.
