Warning to private bus owners

Private Transport Services Minister C.B. Ratnayake said that actions will be taken to cancel the route permits of the bus owners if they go on strike without prior notice.


Addressing an awareness campaign meeting held for the luxury bus owners in Colombo today, the minister said that the commuters are badly affected by such wild cat strikes.




When contacted to get the comment from the federation of All Ceylon Private Bus Owners Association, its secretary Anjana Priyanjith had this to say.




President of the Lanka Private Bus Owners Association Gemunu Wijeratne also expressed his views on the minister’s statement.
