All preparations complete at Katharagama-Kiriwehera sacred grounds on behalf of 'Hiru Shakya Singhe Vesak Festival'

The Asia Broadcasting Corporation including its Hiru FM and Hiru TV has made all arrangements by now to celebrate Vesak festival in grand scale in the premises of Sacred Kiri Vehera Kataragama.


The festival under the theme of ‘Hiru Sakya Singha’ which will begin tomorrow continues up to 27th of this month.


Pilgrims visiting the Hiru Sakya Singha festival are privileged to witness the relics of the Gautama Buddha conducted from Kapilavastupura in India and pay homage to the Enlightened One.


The Buddha’s sacred relics from Kapilavastu will be kept in a special casket for display at the Hiru Sakya Sinha Vesak festival ground from May 25th to May 27th.


Meanwhile this year’s Hiru FM online Vesak pandal is a novel concept and the first of its kind in the world.
