24 hospitalized after Elephant goes on the rampage in Muthiyangana

 24 individuals who were viewing the procession of the Badulla – Muthiyangana Raja Maha Vihara have been hospitalized following a rampage by one of the elephants taking part in the procession.


The police state that there are 14 women and one child among the injured.


The statement issued by the police media unit states that the elephant was immediately sedated and the situation was brought under control.


222 individuals who came to Colombo for Wesak hospitalized

Meanwhile, due to various accidents 222 individuals who had come to Colombo to view Wesak decorations and others have been admitted to the accident ward of the Colombo National Hospital.
