TNA in dialogue with UN

A group of United Nations representatives met with members of the Tamil National Alliance recently.

This dialogue comes at a juncture when the Northern provincial polls are to be held.

According to TNA MP Selvam Addekkalanadan the recent discussion between the TNA & UN members had focused on the development of the North as well as the well being of the provinces populous.


Former Sri Lankan Permanent representative to Geneva Dr. Dayan Jayathilleke states that abstaining from hosting the  Northern provincial polls may cause more issues rather than hosting it.

Engaging in a conversation with our news team Dr. Dayan Jayathilleke added that the timely hosting of the Northern provincial polls would assist in combating international pressure.


However when inquired from the General Secretary of the Patriotic National Movement Wasantha Banadara in this regard he had the following to say.
