Relics exhibited at the Hiru Uththama Dathu Wandana reach Galle; Crowds flock by the thousands to pay respects to float carrying relics

The procession carrying the float containing the ‘Kapila Wasthu’ relics which are being exhibited at the Hiru Uththama Dathu Wandana jointly organized by Hiru FM & Hiru TV of the ABC Media Networks has commenced its journey from the Katchchi-waththa Purana Vihara in Galle to Waskaduwa.


The procession which commenced its journey this morning reached the Tangalle Wajiragiri Viharaya this afternoon for the ceremonial Buddha Pooja.


According to our correspondents large crowds are said to flock by the sides of the route of the convoy in order to pay their respects to the relics.
