Police sue Senior Minister Athauda Seneviratne and 19 others

Warakapola police, on the instruction of the Attorney General, have sued Senior Minister Athauda Seneviratne and 19 others for 4 counts of charges including 1 million rupees damage to the Drinking Water project at Kohombadeniya in Warakapola police division.


When the case was taken before Warakapola Chief Magistrate Avanta Lakmal today, the lawyers of Senior Minister Seneviratne informed the court that the minister was unwell to appear for the case.


The lawyers also submitted the court a medical certificate to prove the illness of the senior minister.


The Chief Magistrate ordered Seneviratne and 19 other suspects appear before the court on July 5th.
