Presidents directs to manufacture 'atapirikara' under strict standards

President Mahinda Rajapaksa has instructed officials to take steps to ensure the quality of atapirika & all offerings.


According to the Presidential Media Unit the Consumer Services Authority has also been alerted in this regard.


The president’s attention was directed in this regard when he met the Chief Prelate of the Asgiri chapter Venerable Udugama Sri Buddha-rakhitha Thero this morning.


Meanwhile President Rajapaksa observed a location in Kandy which has been proposed to construct an air strip.


The president also inspected the Digana sports complex which is currently under construction.


A sum of 212 million rupees has been allocated for the completion of the initial phase of the project.


Moreover Thaland’s Premier Ying Luk Shinawathra who was on a two day visit to Sri Lanka left the island this morning.


The Thai Premier who visited the Chief Prelates of the Malwathu & Asgiri Chapters this morning, held high level discussions with President Mahinda Rajapaksa & several high ranking state officials.
