Rawana Balaya opposes Seetha Devola

Ravana Balaya stated that the organisation is against the proposal to build a Sita Devi Temple at Divurumpola in Haggala.


Ravana Balaya Convener Iththekande Saddhatissa Thera said that a statue of King Ravana should be erected before the construction of a temple for Sita Devi.




Chief Minister of Madya Pradesh in India Shivraj Singh Chouhan first announced his plans to build a Sita Devi Temple in Sri Lanka during a party convention on Saturday.


He said the Sita Devi Temple will be built definitely if the Bharatiya Janata Party comes to power in next general elections.


He said the approvals from the Sri Lankan government have already been obtained, and the temple will be constructed through Swami Dayanand Trust.
