Much debate has arisen in the country regarding missing journalist Prageeth Ekneligoda after the recent statement made by UPFA Parliamentarian Arundhika Fernando in parliament on the 5th of this month.

However, upon inquiry by journalists from Minister Keheliya Rambukwella at the recent Cabinet decisions media briefing regarding this statement this was what the Minister had to say.

However, UPFA MP Arundika Fernando said yesterday in parliament that he made the previous statement about missing journalist Prageeth Eknaligoda on the information provided to him by another journalist Manjula Vediwardana.

UNP Parliamentarian Ajith P Perera raised a question following this statement by UPFA MP Arundika Fernando.

However, when we inquired regarding this from journalist Manjula Wediwardana he denied that he had met with UPFA MP Arundika Fernando.
