MET+Department+says+they+were+aware+of+the+US+Weather+Warning

The US Weather Centre last month issued a statement that a sudden change in wind patterns could be expected during the first week of June that would affect Southern India and Sri Lanka.

 

It stated that monsoon showers as well as changes in weather patterns at the ground level could also be expected.

 

We inquired from the Director General of the Met Department H.S. Kariyawasam regarding the prior warning that was issued by the US Weather Centre.
