Tamil citizens need to be politically empowered says BJP parliamentary delegation

A parliamentary delegation of the Bharathiya Janatha Party who toured the island recently has opined that the government of Sri Lanka should take steps to politically empower the Tamil populous of the country.


The group had expressed these views to Indian media, subsequent to completing their tour of the island.


Furthermore the group had appraised the government’s development efforts while also stating that more could be done to win over the hearts of the countries Tamil citizens.


The BJP delegation had equally stressed on the importance of hosting free & fair elections in the countries North.


06 BJP delegates including party Leader Ravishankar Prasad arrived in the island on the 04th this month in order to engage in an official tour of the island.
