International fishermen's forum demands an independent probe.

World Forum of Fisher People has expressed concerns over the death of several fishermen in Sri Lanka.


In a statement issued from the WFFP Secretariat in Karachi, the WFFP appealed to President Mahinda Rajapaksa and the Metrological Department to launch an independent inquiry in to the incident and see if there is any negligence.


Duty meteorologist K D Sujeewa speaking to our news team stated that minor showers will be experienced in many parts of the country today as well.
