Colombo Chief Magistrate orders to produce the goods stolen from the museum

Colombo Chief Magistrate Gihaan Pilapitiya ordered that all goods belonging to the museum that had been recovered from the suspects in the museum burglary be immediately produced to court.


While eight suspects including main suspect Kangaettaa alias Langsagey Priyantha Medhis were produced before court when the case of this incident was taken up for hearing yesterday, the court ordered that they be remanded till 27th.


The museum burglary took place on March 16th last year.


In this heist gold coins, currency notes, swords, rings, walking sticks and the belt of Nugawela Adikaaram too had been stolen.


The police was able to arrest the main suspect on 27th last October when he was in Negombo.
