President takes part in the Saman Devindu Uththama Sathkara festival

The Saman Devindu Uththama Sathkara festival took place today at the Sabaragamuwa Saman Devalaya under the patronage of President Mahinda Rajapakse.


The Presidential media unit stated that President Rajapakse also declared open the archeological museum and resting hall built on the devala grounds.


After observing religious rites this morning President Rajapakse also engaged in conversation with other pilgrims at the devalaya.


Meanwhile, President Mahinda Rajapakse also unveiled the pinnacle of the Ananda Maithree Sanga Raja Vihara in the new Rathnapura town, today.
