Sources close to the government stated today that the Provincial Council elections of the Central and North Provinces will also be held together with the North Western Provincial Council election.

 

The President and several government ministers have already stated that the North Provincial Council election would be held on September 7th.

 

Accordingly, the elections for the 3 Provincial Councils likely to be held either on September 7th or September 21st.

 

The same sources stated that the North Western, Central and North Provinces will possibly be dissolved on June 25th.

 

However the government is also exploring the possibility whether the North Western Provincial Council election could be held at an early date.

 

The sources said that the North Central Provincial Council will be dissolved within the next few days in the event the government takes a prompt decision.
