Thursday, 13 June 2013 - 19:17

The National Freedom Front today raised suspicions alleging that the death of the founder and former leader of the SLMC M. H. M. Ashroff and the ascension of Minister Rauff Hakeem as the leader of the party has a connection during a press conference held in Colombo today.

Following the statement made by the media spokesperson of the NFF Mohammad Musammil, the journalists gathered at the press conference raised questions regarding that statement.

The journalists gathered alleged that since the SLMC is not agreeing to make changes to the 13th amendment, the NFF is attempting to create a baseless opinion amongst the public.

However, Town councilor Mohammad Musammil stated that when investigating the course taken by the SLMC under the leadership of Minister Rauff Hakeem since the passing of M. H. M. Ashroff, such suspicions are being raised.

The following is the exchange of words that took place between Town councilor Mohammad Musammil and the journalists gathered at the press conference.
