PS members son assaults a principal

Ambilipitiya PS Chairman M.K. Amila who was in remand for assaulting two policemen attached to the Panamure police has been granted bail.

Ambilipitiya Magistrate Lakmal Perera ordered to release the suspect on 3 personal bails for 3 hundred thousand rupees each.

While giving a severe warning to not engage in such acts in the future, the magistrate ordered the suspect to report to the Ambilipitiya ASP’s office every Wednesday.

M.K. Amila wanted in connection with an assault on two policemen was absconding police arrest and surrendered later to police through a lawyer later.  

Meanwhile a student of the Nivattaka Chetiya Maha Vidyalaya in Anuradhapura has assaulted his principal.

It is reported that the father of this student is a member of the Mihintale Pradeshiya Sabha.

President of the Lanka Teachers Union Priyantha Fernando explained the assault to our news team.
