UNP requests for a Casino Regulation Commission

The UNP states that a requirement has arisen in Sri Lanka for a casino regulation commission.

Speaking at a press conference held in Colombo today, UNP parliamentarian Dr. Harsha De Silva stated that this commission is needed if the activities of Casinos are to continue with transparency.

He also illustrated that such commissions have been established in leading countries in the world.

MP De Silva also stated that the members of the regulation commission should be allowed to observe Casinos 24 hours a day.

In addition he also stated that a 40% tax should be levied from all casinos in the country.
