A preparation for examining mental state of University students.

The University Grants Commission’s attention has been drawn on assessing the mental state of students when granting university admission.


The University Authorities’ attention has been thus focused in coincidence with a Colombo University Science Faculty student committing suicide by jumping from a five-storey building recently.


UGC chairperson Kshanikaa Hirimburegama told our news team that accordingly in the future a medical certificate was expected to be obtained in admission of students to universities.
