Deputy Finance Minister Sarath Amunugama says that it is impossible to further increase the number of employees in the country’s public service.

Participating at a function held in Kandy yesterday the Deputy Minister said that finding the money required for paying the salary of public servants was a difficult task.

Speaker Chamal Rajapaksa said in Katuwana yesterday that the decision Opposition Leader Ranil Wickremasinghe had taken to reduce the number of employees in the country’s public service during his tenure of office as Prime Minister was a timely decision.
