We will not leave the government - says SLMC

The Sri Lanka Muslim Congress states that the fact that an SLMC representative not being appointed to the Parliamentary Select Committee appointed to solve the national issue and the 13th amendment will be discussed in depth during the meeting of the SLMC High Command today.


However the SLMC National Organizer Shafeek Rajabdeen stated that despite these issues the SLMC has no plans of leaving the government.


Meanwhile, speaking at a function held yesterday Minister of Social Services Felix Perera states that Sri Lanka is not a country large enough to give each province seperate land and police powers.


The Tamil National Alliance is also scheduled to state their official decision regarding its participation in the Parliamentary Select Committee regarding this today.
