4 urgent surveys for child protection

The National Child Protection Authority is planning to conduct 4 surveys regarding child safety expediently.


The NCPA arrested 2 children aged 12 and 14 respectively who were employed in sharpening knives and scissors yesterday in Nugegoda.


Complaints are continuing to pour in regarding child abuse and child labour.


Speaking to our news team the chairman of the NCPA attorney at law Anoma Dissanayaka stated that following the completion of the surveys it will be easy for the government to take steps to prevent such actions by utilizing that information.
