Special committee for finding solutions to the National Problem is ready to obtain public views.

National language and Social Integration Minister Vasudeva Nanayakkara says that opportunity will be given to the country’s civil organizations and the people to express their views about the matters discussed at the Parliamentary Special Committee for finding solutions to the national problem.  


Speaking to our news team after the special committee yesterday the Minister Vasudewa Nanayakkara stated as follows:




No MP from the Opposition participated in the special committee that met yesterday with Minister Nimal Siripala de Silva at the chair.


All the 19 Government representatives had come for the special committee meeting.


The UNP decided at its parliamentary group meeting held yesterday not to participate in the special committee meeting.

However Minister Vasudeva Nanayakkara said that non-participation in the special committee meeting by the opposition was a shirking of its responsibilities.
