16 thousand Sri lankan illegal workers in Saudi want to return.

Foreign Employment Promotion and Welfare Minister Dilan Perera said that 6000 illegal Sri Lankan workers have received temporary exit permits under the amnesty period declared by the Saudi Government.


He said 16 thousand Sri Lankan illegal workers who want to return home have been registered with the Saudi authorities under the amnesty.


The Saudi Government has declared an amnesty until November 3rd for Sri Lankan illegal workers to exit Saudi soils.
