Former Parliamentarian Dayasiri Jayasekara stated today that he would file legal action against those who state that he obtained money in order to join the government.

This was at a media briefing that was held at residence of SLFP Leader of Kurunegala Senior Minister S B Nawinna.

Ministers Jayarathna Herath, Salinda Dissanayake and MP’s Neranjan Wickramasinghe and Tharanath Basnayaka were also present at the media briefing but Former Chief Minister of Athula Wijesinghe’s absence was a speciality.

Dayasiri Jayasekara stated on the 24th of this month that he would leave the UNP and would join the government.

At that moment UNP Parliamentarian Hareen Fernando stated that Dayasiri Jayasekara crossed over after having obtained a substantial amount of money.

UNP National Organizer Daya Gamage speaking at a media briefing that was held yesterday expressed similar views.

When journalists inquired regarding this from Dayasiri Jayasekara during today’s media briefing in Wariyapola he stated that he would take legal action against those making such statements.
