Tuition classes banned one week before scholarship exams; 15000 rupees with an A/L answer script.

Commissioner General of Examinations W. M. N. J. Pushpakumara said conducting tuition classes will be prohibited from 19th August midnight until the 25th of August.

Commissioner General of Examinations made this comment at a media conference at the Examinations Department yesterday.


About 380 thousand 560 candidates will sit the examination at 2,164 examination centres countrywide.

He further stated that the public should restrain from using loudspeakers, fire crackers, loud noises or any kind of disturbances near examination centres.

The commissioner also requested from the students not to attach money along with answer scripts.

He pointed out that last year 15 thousand rupees were attached in a tamil answer script.
