Trust your neighbour and not your distant relatives; President tells people in the North

President Mahinda Rajapaksa has told the people in the North that they should trust their neighbour who is committed to them rather than trusting those spreading false rumours from a distance.


The President stated that it is everyones responsibility to safeguard the country for the future generation without falling victim to petty political objectives of certain groups.


President Mahinda Rajapaksa expressed these views at the opening of a new garment factory in the Rashendrakulam area in Vavunia.


The President also stated that the government has carried out massive development in the North.
