Opposition leader wants a general election in 2014.

Leader of Sri Lanka Opposition Ranil Wickremasinghe arrived in India for a three day official visit.


He told reporters in Chennai that a campaign is underway to obtain a national election in 2014.




During his visit, the Opposition Leader is scheduled to hold discussions with the leaders of Indian political parties including the Congress Party and the opposition Bharatha Janatha Party.


Opposition leader is also expected to meet with high level Indian state officials and engage in special discussions.
