The hand of attacked Wennapuwa alliance councillor grafted.

The Colombo national hospital said that steps had been taken for grafting the right hand of Wennappuwa Divisional Council UPFA councilor who had been attacked with sharp weapons.


The hospital spokeswoman said that Divisional Councilor  Rukman Colombagey was currently receiving treatment at the national hospital’s 72nd ward.


While a certain gang had attacked the councilor concerned at the Wennapttuwa Gaala-watta playground with sharp weapons last night, his right hand was severely injured in the attack.


The councilor was admitted to the Wennappuwa Hospital and subsequently transferred to the Colombo National Hospital.


Acting Police Media Spokesman SSP Ajith Rohana said that while the suspects connected with the attack had been identified, action was being taken to arrest them.
