Top UNP leaders have warned UNP MPs who have so far not participated in the propaganda activities of the upcoming provincial council election.

UNP sources said that after the election, strict disciplinary action would be taken against MPs who do not participate in the propaganda activities and who do not offer support to the election campaign.

Top leaders have warned them that since they have been assigned various responsibilities with regard to the election, they should be dedicated to the party’s victory.

A group including MPs M. D. Swaaminaathan, and Kabeer Hasheem was not seen on many occasions at the election platforms this time.

UNP sources said that in this background these two MPs and some others had thus been warned.
