Inquiry against exam officials who changed year 5 scholarship answer papers.

Several students who sat the Year 5 Scholarship examination yesterday were inconvenienced as they were stopped half way while answering their question papers.


Later the students were served with new question papers saying that the previous question papers were miss-numbered.


Due to the negligence of the officials, the Year 5 examination candidates at the Heenatigala Sariputta Vidyalaya examination centre were deprived of scheduled time and could not answer their papers properly.


A student of Prince Gunesekera Vidyalaya Galle who sat the examination at this centre expressed her views to our news team.




The blind farther of the student described the incident to our news team.




General Secretary of the Lanka Teachers Union Joseph Starlin said that an inquiry should be held without delay and justice should be meted out to these students.




Director of Galle Education Circuit Susil Premnath said that the officials who were on duty at the Heenatigala Sariputta Vidyalaya examination centre have been called to the Department of Examination today.
