4 army personnel who sexually abused a woman and escaped have been dismissed.

The Army head quarters states that the four army personnel who were accused to have been entered a house forcibly to sexually abuse a woman and rob money have been dismissed from their ranks.


On a query by our news team the Army spokes person Brigadier Ruwan Wanigasuriya said that, after the Police have reported about the arrest of the said army personnel they have been dismissed on the grounds of violating the disciplinary ordinance of the Army.


However the Police spokes person’s office stated that further investigations are underway on the incident.
