An island wide soil sample test.

The Geological Survey and Mines Bureau has decided to test the mineral and constituents contained in the soils in every area island-wide.


Geological Survey and Mines Bureau Chairman Senarath Jayasundara told our news team that so far data had not been collected about the constituents contained in the soils.


The Bureau chairman pointed out that through this test, a study could be carried out about the minerals contained in the soil.


The Bureau chairman said further that the tests of the soil samples obtained for inspection from Rathupaswala in Waeliweriya too were completed by now.
