Sri Lankans among 66 illegal immigrants nabbed in Malaysia

A total of 49 Sri Lanka nationals were found hiding in trucks by Kedah Immigration Department enforcement officers in Malaysia.


The foreigners were believed to have gone into hiding after learning that officers were rounding up on illegal immigrants.


The departments deputy director said the suspects were among 66 foreigners rounded up during a four-hour operation which started at 12 midnight last night.
