The Sri Lanka Administrative Services Union has decided to take legal action with regard to a group reprimanding the Returning Officer over the recovery of a stock of polling cards at St. Andrew’s College in Puttalam.

Union secretary Ranjith Ariyaratna said that the whole public administration service had been thrown into disrepute as a result of the reprimand.

Meanwhile PAFFEREL says that people’s trust in elections could be eroded by the incident of the recovery of a stock of polling cards at St. Andrew’s College in Puttalam.

PAFFEREL Executive Director Rohana Hettiarachchi told our news team that all should act in a manner that people would have confidence in elections as much as possible.
