Don t eat lotus yam - Advice to people in Rajarata.

A world famous Sri Lankan Professor said that refraining from eating lotus yam by the people in the North Central Province, where kidney disease has spread, would cause the reduction of the threat of that disease.


A World Health Organization Directress  Professor Shaanthi Mendis made this request while addressing a conference held at the BMICH yesterday.


Similarly the WHO Directress said that several categories of pesticides should be removed from use in the North Central province.
