The Moratuwa police say that extensive investigations have begun with regard to the abduction of the son of District Judge of the Colombo Hulsdorp Court Number four.

A senior spokesman of the Moratuwa police said that even by now several police squads had been deployed for carrying out investigations.

An unidentified gang had come in a van and abducted the son of Court Number four District Judge B. A. R. Somasinghe last Saturday.

He has been thus abducted when he was on the Galle Road waiting to attend a tuition class at about 10 a.m. on Saturday.

However within about five hours after the abduction the son of the District Judge was abandoned in Wadduwa.

The District Judge’s son told police that a four-member gang came in a van and put him into the van by force.

He told the police that subsequently he had lost consciousness.

However the Police said that investigation was going on with regard to the incident without interruption.
