Anuradha Jayarathne responds to UPFA chief ministerial decisions

After the appointments of Chief Ministers to the North Western and Central Provincial Councils yesterday, the UPFA convened a media conference at the SLFP Headquarters today.


Answering journalists UPFA General Secretary Minister Susil Premajayantha said that the issue with regard to the land and police power would not arise in the future.


Addressing journalists, Minister Maithreepala Sirisena expressed his views on the difference of opinions that have emerged over the allocation of PC Chief Ministerial positions.


He explained the procedure that was followed by the UPFA in allocating ministry portfolios just after the last General Election.


Meanwhile Premier D.M. Jayarathna’s son Anuradha Jayarathna told a media briefing held in Gampola today that entire party membership accepts the President’s and the Central Working Committee decision.
