Video: Elephant rampage in a procession kills 2.

A woman and a man have been killed as a result of an elephant calf that went in procession in a Perahera getting perturbed.

The Police Media Spokesman’s Office said that the persons thus killed were two spectators of the Pussaellaawa – Morapey – Kataragama Devaalaya Perahera last night.

While the body of the diseased woman is kept at the Gampola Hospital the body of the man killed in the incident is kept at the Kotmaley hospital.

The police media spokesman’s office said further that the identity of the two persons thus killed has not yet been established.
