Number of dog bites increase

The Health Ministry says that the number of incidents of dog bite have increased dramatically.


Director General of the Department for Animal Products and Health Kumara De Silva stated that this has resulted in a massive expense for the Ministry.


Around 2000 dog bites are reported daily, although there is a decrease in the number of deaths caused as a result.
