Arachchikattuwa PS Chairman Jagath Samantha Perera wanted in connection with an assault on 2 private bus workers at Mahawewa town has surrendered to Marawila police this morning.

 

Intercity bus workers on the Colombo Chilaw route launched a strike yesterday in protest of this assault incident and the Intercity operators on the routes of Colombo Puttalam and Anamaduwa Colombo also joined the strike this morning.

 

The 2 victims are currently receiving treatment at Marawila hospital.
