Kebitigollewa LTTE bomb spy gets 5 years jail sentence.

The LTTE suspect who pleaded guilty for bombing and killing 68 civilians at Yakawewa in Kebitigollewa was given 5 years rigorous jail sentence.


The convict Lingam alias Indran was sentenced by North Central Provincial High Court Judge Khema Swarnadhipathi today.


Convict Lingam alias Indran was indicted for spying from a nearby tree top and passing messages to LTTE terrorists about the arrival of the ill-fated bus on the 13th of August 2006.


The Judge also ordered the Prison Commissioner General to send the convict for one year rehabilitation after he completes the 5-year jail sentence.
