Legal action against unscrupulous traders

Food safety officers of the Health Ministry have detected 5,557 food outlets selling food items unfit for human consumption in raids carried out throughout the country.


They have destroyed all unhygienic and expired food products and cases have been filed against 1,128 traders and food item producers. 


These detections have been made in the first two days of the Food Safety Week held by the Ministry.
