Video : Investigations begin on the air force assault case.

Air Force Media spokesman Andrew Wijesuriya says that investigations have begun with regard to the attack on a soldier of the Katunayake Air Force Camp by an Air Force high ranking officer.

Currently the attacked air force soldier, named Sameera Chaaminda is receiving treatment at the Colombo National Hospital.

The victim’s mother told our news team that a group of officers of the said Camp had admitted the soldier injured in the attack to the Colombo National Hospital.

Sameera Chaaminda who had served at the Katunayaka Air Force Camp special regiment wing was thus attacked at a function held there on 24th this month.

Sameera’s mother said that while at the time victim, Sameera Chaaminda was traveling with two other soldiers, he had brushed on the body of a high rank Air Force officer and this attack had taken place at that time.

Our news team inquired about this from Air Force Media spokesman Andrew Wijesuriya.

The media spokesman said that an investigation is carried out regarding the incident.
