Sri Lanka Teachers’ Union General Secretary Joseph Stalin says that 40 Public and Private sector trade unions have reached a consensus to intervene in support of solving the Waeliweriya Rathupaswala water problem.


A special discussion about the water problem was held in Gampaha yesterday with the participation of several Trade Union representatives.


Participating in the discussion the Sri Lanka Teacher Union general secretary said that on that occasion it had been decided to hold a one-day strike demanding the speedy removal of the factory the root cause of the water problem.
