A man and a teenager have been charged with the murder of a pizza delivery driver in Sheffield - UK.

 

Sri Lankan national Thavisha Lakindu Peiris, was found stabbed in his car in Southey Crescent last Sunday.

 

He had been making his final delivery before he was due to start a new job as an IT consultant.

 

Shamraze Khan, of Southey Crescent, and a 17-year-old boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, are due before Sheffield magistrates later.

Thavisha Peiris pizza delivery murder: Two arrested

A man and a teenager have been arrested on suspicion of murdering Sri lankan Thavisha Peiris who was delivering pizza in Sheffield.

 

Thavisha Lakindu Peiris, was found dead by colleagues in his car in Southey Crescent, Sheffield, on Sunday. He had been stabbed in the chest.

 

He had been making his final delivery before he was due to start a new job as an IT consultant.

 

South Yorkshire Police first arrested a boy aged 17, yesterday and a man, aged 25, later the same night.

 

Both are being held in custody for questioning.

 

Thavisha Peiris had been working at the takeaway in Halifax Road after graduating from Sheffield Hallam University in 2011.

 

His colleagues found him dead in the driving seat in a parking bay close to the delivery address.

 

A post-mortem examination found he had died from multiple stab wounds.

 

South Yorkshire Police said it had more than 50 police officers working on the investigation.

Meanwhile Tavisha’s mother Sudharma Naran-goda said that she was waiting for necessary visa to leave for England in order to find out about her son’s death.
