Kaymu launches app for the Android watch

Rocket Internet’s online marketplace Kaymu, available in several markets across Asia including Sri Lanka through Kaymu.lk,has launched an app for the Android watch. This move is expected to make shopping even more accessible for the online shopping community in Sri Lanka.

The functionality of this app is dual – it lets users browse products featured in the catalogue on their watches itself and also displays all push notifications. Moreover, links on the alerts, when clicked automatically open on an Android phone.
Currently, Kaymu connects close to 5000 sellers to buyers and helps them bring their business online, the launch of the app is in line with the Kaymu’s mission to bring the Sri Lankan online consumer, convenient shopping.

Sri Lanka which has an internet penetration close to 20% is sure to benefit from the Kaymu mobile app Launch with the current popularisation of smart android watches in the Sri Lankan market.
