Action against 4500 errant traders

The Consumer affairs Authority says that continuous raids are carried out in search of vendors selling goods at higher prices targeting the festive season.

Steps were taken through the budget to reduce the price of 13 essential goods.

However Consumer Affairs Authority Chairman Roomi Marshuk told our news team that the CAA is receiving complaints regarding vendors who are selling goods at higher price.

The CAA Chairman said as a result of raids carried out up to now, legal action had been taken against 4500 shop owners who had sold goods at higher prices.
